The Arc Community League has been a Chapter of NYSARC, Inc. for 58 years. However, our history of service to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities actually goes back over 60 years prior to joining the NYSARC. We are proud of our long history and hope to continue bringing quality services to this population for decades to come.

Community League is a voluntary, not for profit organization which provides case management/service coordination (MSC), supplemental group day habilitation and advocacy services on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities. More than half a century ago, a small group of parents banded together to fight for the rights of their disabled children. Through their efforts, Community League was established in 1950 and had been in the business of caring for these "special" individuals ever since.
